Abstract

This project is concerned with both the traditional and current means used to generate the third dimension on a flat support. We separate the means which represent it by coded methods, such as perspective, from those which, in some way, make use of prostheses or special techniques, including steroscopy, virtual reality and holography. Only some of them give rise to the sensation of immersion.
