Clepsydra adopts the institution's information safeguarding and archiving policy and procedures. This ensures the permanent preservation of information.

Among the measures outlined in this policy are:

1. Daily backups, including integrity verification.
2. Storage in a permanent archival resource, within the Institutional Repository of the University of La Laguna (RIULL).
3. Use of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) served by Crossref.
4. Inclusion of preservation metadata.

The RIULL fulfills both publication and digital archiving functions, ensuring the preservation of generated assets. The system, which uses DSpace, adheres to open standards for interoperability. This guarantees maximum dissemination of the journal’s scientific content whilst maintaining its integrity, authenticity, reliability, readability, and functionality.
