El mito del drama satírico
Abstract
On the basis of Aristotle's statement in the Poetics about the origin of Tragedy from the satyric spirit, the author examines the themes, plots, style and diction of Satyr-Play in order to define more accurately the existing relationships between the two dramatic genres especially in the treatment of the traditional myth. As a result one may say that beneath its apparent comicity, greek Satyr-Play has a ethical seriousness which can be perceived in the remaining fragments.
