Abstract

One of Clement of Alexandria's major contributions to the world of culture was the fact that he succeded in reconciliating in his work the two greatest Greek geniuses, namely Homer and Plato.
Ulysses is the homeric heroe most oft-mentioned by our author, of whom Clement is chiefly fond due to exaltation of reason occurring in him for the very first time in Greek Literature.
In his presentation, he follows the allegoric interpretations belonging to stoics and neoplatonist.
