El término pulso en Grecia
Abstract
The author offers a brief study about greek terms relating to the pulse, palpitations and sudden shock, as an introduction to the texts of Galen which have been extensively studied and translated in the last few years. Chief among them is a text by Aristotle which is the oldest greek document to define the pulse or heartbeat and to distinguish between the other two aforementioned phenomena, sudden shock and palpitations.
