La literatura jurídica en la Roma republicana
Abstract
The legal literature of the Roman Republic (approx. between the 6th and the 1st centuries B C), has survived in fragments or it is a field of ruins. Those legal sources have always been considered prose literature, particulary the famous law of the Twelve Tables. This legal corpus was included in the education of the Roman youth and was the basis of the public and private laws. And at the same time it created the basic legal structure for the subsequent development of the Roman Law that won well-known reputation and influence in Western civilization.
