Regarding late antiquity evidence of nomen Pompeius in Hispania
Abstract
The well-known nomen Pompeius (in its various forms) continued to be used after the Fall of the Roman Empire, as both literary and epigraphic sources show. In this study we present a compilation of the known evidence as well as the interesting toponomastic information on this gentilic, which gave rise to the existence of a Terra Pompeiana.
