The classical tradition in Leonard Torriani’s work Description of the Canary Islands (1592)
Abstract
In this contribution we will address some issues concerning the Greco-Roman tradition (mythology -gods, heroes, mythical geography-, Greek authors, Latin authors, historical figures, names of the islands, aborigines) with regard to the Canary Islands.
