An interview with Angelina Gatell
Abstract
The actress and writer Angelina Gatell was born in Barcelona in 1926. In 1952, she founded, with Eduardo Sanchez, one of the first Spanish chamber theatres, El Paraíso; and, years later, the literary coterie Plaza Mayor, with José Hierro, Manrique de Lara and Aurora de Albornoz. In 1958 she moved to Madrid, where she worked in Televisión Española as a voice actress and as a scripwriter as well, and dedicated to dialogues’ adaptation and direction. Finally, she was hired by a dubbing studio, where she worked for thirty-two years.
