Abstract

In this paper we’ve tried to explain the determining factors involved in the adaptation of Don Quixote de la Mancha, directed by Rafael Gil in 1948. We’ve analyzed both, the industrial and the ideological items, and the part played by the Spanish press during its premiere. Also we bring to the present the contributions of this book of chivalry as an immortal work.
