Don Quixote, full of light
Abstract
Since his literary birth Don Quixote’s figure has exerted an enormous attraction to others artistic ways of expression. Very soon, just a few years after its first edition, artists started to transfer the slim silhouette of the famous knight to their canvas. During the Twentieth Century the movies have showed the same fascination for the character of Cervantes and, echoing the iconography elaborated by the plastic arts, have produced more than a hundred of adaptations for the screen.
