In the early sixties Roger Corman realized a series of Edgar Allan Poe’s adaptations. The world of this poet was reflected by eight films that popularized some basic principles of his literature, among them was the female figure an important example. The women presented in this series were loved by a man that could be considered an Edgar Allan Poe’s image. This work tries to explain every female prototype appeared in this series.
