Surgical sutures in minor surgery for health science students

This work comprises fourteen chapters on surgical sutures and minor surgery, following a clearly structured approach: it begins with a historical introduction that spans from the origins of humankind to the most advanced surgical technology, followed by a description of the skin, types of sutures, suture materials, types and techniques of the main sutures with their characteristics, as well as the local anesthetics used, infiltration techniques, and management of their side effects. Finally, it covers mucosal sutures, hemorrhage control with hemostatic sutures, and abscess care.
