TEKNE, Tenerife Knowledge Entrepreneurship, is a program designed to support entrepreneurial initiatives based on knowledge generated at the University of La Laguna. We offer training, mentoring, specialized advice, and communication support to transform innovative ideas into successful businesses.
Teaching and Research Staff of the ULL.
Administrative and Service Staff, undergraduate, master's, doctoral students and ULL alumni.
People from outside the ULL working in teams with members of the ULL.
People who graduated from ULL
Up to a maximum of 15 initiatives will be selected.
Initiatives with the potential to become knowledge-based companies are eligible. These initiatives may be based on research results and/or other knowledge generated within the University of La Laguna (ULL). The goal is to transfer and leverage this knowledge through the creation of innovative Knowledge-Based Companies (KBCs).
The total support package for all initiatives is valued at €64,000. This package includes:
Specialized training.
Mentoring in key areas.
Legal and marketing advice.
Support in communication and dissemination.
Support in attending events of interest

Application submission period begins: The day after the publication of the call for applications in the BOULL.
Application deadline: 30 calendar days after publication.
Resolution of the call for applications: Maximum two months after the registration deadline.
The selection process includes:
Initial evaluation of applications.
Interviews and project presentations.
Provisional selection of initiatives.
Period for submitting allegations
Final selection and notification.
You can submit as many applications as you wish, either individually or as a team.
The initiatives are evaluated based on:
Suitability of the value proposition (10 points)
Innovation and technology (15 points)
Market and business model (10 points)
Promoting team (10 points)
Interview (5 points)
Yes, the TEKNE program grants are compatible with other subsidies or awards from public or private institutions.
Yes, provided they are based on knowledge generated at ULL and meet the other requirements of the call.
The confidentiality of all submitted initiatives is guaranteed. During the evaluation process, all information will be treated confidentially, and only the technical team and the evaluation committee will have access to it. Furthermore, only selected initiatives will be publicized, and only with the consent of the participants, ensuring that sensitive and strategic details remain protected.
