Little Visitors Classroom

AMOUNT: 25710,22€

The proposal presented here involves the creation of a training space equipped as a real Early Childhood Education classroom, allowing university students and faculty to work with children at this stage and learn from and about practical experience. It will also foster research and innovation in foreign language teaching through courses such as the Final Degree Project and Foreign Language Teaching Methodology, as well as through research leading to doctoral theses related to foreign language teaching in Early Childhood Education, and the development of projects and initiatives that help bridge the gap between the university and schools. The proposed educational innovation is viable, sustainable over time, and perfectly justifiable due to its curricular suitability, the Council of Europe's recommendations on the advantages of learning at least two foreign languages at an early age, the need expressed by university students of Foreign Language Didactics to carry out practical activities prior to the external internships undertaken in the degree program, with real students in a contextualized environment, and the importance of having a space suited to the training and innovation needs of the stage for which future graduates are being trained.
