The University of La Laguna is undertaking its Participatory Budgets for the fifth consecutive year, a tool of participatory, direct and deliberative democracy, through which citizens exercise their right to collaborate in the design and monitoring of public policies from their involvement in the preparation of the budget and which clearly promotes the governance of the institution, brings it closer to its different publics and commits to them.
In light of the results obtained in previous editions and considering the benefits it provides, a new call for proposals is now open, allowing new projects to be submitted.

You can present a single proposal performance, for a maximum amount of 45,000 euros.

You can vote until 5 proposals from among those that have been considered viable.
The submission of proposals will be carried out in a standardized manner, in electronic format, by completing this form. form.

The proposals must comply with the requirements established in the terms and conditions of the 2026 participatory budgeting call, which you can consult in the following link.
The proposals submitted will be studied by a Technical Evaluation Committee to verify that they meet the requirements of the call for proposals, and the projects that will go to a vote will be displayed on this website.
Once the list of proposals is published, the people who make up the community will be able to vote for a maximum of 5 proposals from the total number submitted.
Voting will be conducted electronically once the voting period opens. Voters will have 15 calendar days to cast their ballots.
Once the voting period has ended, the technical evaluation committee will rank the proposals from highest to lowest score, allocating funding accordingly until the budget is exhausted, taking into account the amounts reserved for each group. The allocated budget for participatory budgeting is €345,000.00, which will be distributed as follows:
If there are any funds left over from those reserved for university groups, these will be used to increase the 40% of the general fee.
In the event of a tie, the proposal that, in the reasoned opinion of Management, best serves the general interest will be put forward.
Once the call for proposals has been resolved, the selected proposals will become ULL projects, which will be executed by the corresponding spending units, which will be designated by the Management.
The implementation units will report on the start and degree of implementation of the selected projects.
