Goals

University-Business Connection: Strengthening the link and active collaboration between the academic environment and the productive sector.

Training and Knowledge: Promote practical training, applied research and knowledge transfer, always aligned with the real needs of companies.

Entrepreneurship: To promote entrepreneurial spirit and business vocations among university students.

Talent Recognition: Identify and reward academic excellence and young talent through initiatives such as the Undergraduate/Master's Thesis Awards.

Institutional Visibility: To enhance the Chair's image as a benchmark in society and the business ecosystem.

Areas of action

To achieve these objectives, the Chair develops its activity along four fundamental axes:

  1. Training and Skills: Development of university micro-credentials and training modules in areas such as digital transformation, AI and sustainability.
  2. Dissemination and Awareness: Organizing talks with leading businesspeople, company visits, and participation in employment and entrepreneurship forums.
  3. Applied Research: Support for industrial doctoral theses and promotion of research that solves specific business challenges.
  4. Trends Observatory: Systematic identification of emerging challenges, regulatory changes and future needs of the Canary Islands labor market.
