The Chair of Childhood and Adolescence as a meeting point between academia and society
The creation of this Chair follows the example of similar chairs at other universities. Comprehensive care for children and adolescents, from a rights-based perspective, requires a cross-cutting and interdisciplinary approach that is sometimes difficult to achieve.
The University of La Laguna is thus positioning itself at the forefront, as the Chair provides visibility to society, public administrations, third-sector entities, etc., of experts in various fields related to childhood and adolescence. It creates, therefore, a meeting point that will allow for the implementation of specialized training, research and knowledge transfer projects, as well as collaboration, always in support of rights and with a constant gender perspective.
This Chair is fully funded by the Government of the Canary Islands.
