Functions of the Doctoral Steering Committee

  1. Advise the Management and submit reports and proposals on all matters concerning the doctorate.
  2. To define the School's policy on doctoral studies, both in terms of its organizational, administrative and management system, and its training activities.
  3. To urge the modification of this regulation and other regulations of the University of La Laguna regarding doctoral studies.
  4. Study the proposals for new doctoral programs.
  5. To propose the general guidelines for academic policy and the basic monitoring criteria
  6. of the preparation of students in doctoral programs.
  7. To ensure the proper fulfillment of the functions that correspond to the academic doctoral committees and the technical, management and administrative and service staff assigned to the performance of the activities of the School.
  8. To perform any other functions assigned to him by the higher governing bodies of the university or recognized by current regulations.

DOCTORAL STEERING COMMITTEE
The Doctoral Steering Committee will be composed of the people who hold the Directorship of the School, the sub-directorates that exist that have competence in doctoral studies and quality, the Secretary of the School and those who have assumed the coordination of a doctoral program.

Also participating will be a representative of the doctoral students and the person in charge of the School Administration, who may be replaced by the head of the Doctoral Office (article 13 of the EDEP RRI).
