A trailing shrub that can reach 1.5 m in height, with woody stems. Its leaves are five-leafed, glaucous green, with obcordate (inverted heart-shaped) leaflets and entire margins. The flowers are papilionaceous, with a whitish corolla and purple veins, grouped in clusters of a few flowers (5-6). The fruit is a straight legume. A very rare and endangered Canary Island endemic.
