Anaga Everlasting Flower

This everlasting flower is an endemic species of the northern coastal area of Anaga. It is a shrubby plant with a straight stem that can reach one meter in height and has very few branches. Its large, oblong, pale green leaves, with a red midrib, often remain attached to the stem for a long time. It produces numerous blooms arranged in branched, long-stalked inflorescences. The flowers have a papery, bluish-mauve calyx and a corolla composed of white petals.
