Sea everlasting flower

The sea lavender is a species endemic to Macaronesia. It is a dwarf shrub that grows in a cushion-like form, with a rosette of elongated, spatula-shaped leaves that are narrow at the base. Its flowers are small, with a calyx ranging from deep pink to white and a papery consistency, and a white corolla with a very small tube and five petals. They are arranged in flat, triangular-shaped inflorescences. It is common on the rocky coasts of the islands.
