Lady of Tenerife

A highly branched shrub that can reach up to 1.5 m in height. Its erect stems are covered in stellate hairs, giving them a grayish color. The leaves are linear-lanceolate, obtuse, and grayish. The flowers have four petals forming a pinkish-white cross, arranged in large numbers in terminal clusters. Its fruits are silicles (similar to legumes) that terminate in two appendages longer than the persistent style. The Tenerife lady is endemic to the lowlands of this island, and its genus is endemic to the Canary Islands.
