Doctoral Program in
Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

In recent years, certain scientific fields, such as supramolecular chemistry, molecular biology, and surface and low-temperature physics, have experienced remarkable development in our country. The strategic importance of these areas in R&D is clearly demonstrated by their prioritization in all national, European, and international programs of all developed countries. In these fields, physicists, chemists, biologists, physicians, and engineers work to obtain, manipulate, organize, study, and utilize the properties of nanoscale objects. Maintaining a truly competitive international position in some areas of nanoscience, both now and in the future, requires a level of expertise achievable only through thematic focus and adequate training of research personnel, enabling them to acquire the multidisciplinary knowledge these fields demand. This Doctoral Program comes from the Official Postgraduate Program in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, created in 2007, which received the Quality Mention from the Ministry of Education in October 2008 (Reference MCD2008-00082) and the Excellence Mention in October 2011 (Reference MEE2011-00194).
