Overview

This micro-credential addresses innovation applied to the third sector and the social economy, analyzing the functioning of social entities and identifying opportunities for improvement and intervention. The program trains participants to design and plan innovative projects with social impact, as well as to develop personal and interpersonal skills that facilitate change management and the sustainability of transformation processes within organizations.

Goals

  • To understand and analyze the fundamentals of innovation applied to the third sector and the social economy, as well as the organizational reality and environment of social entities, identifying needs, opportunities for improvement and priority areas of intervention.
  • Design and plan innovative projects aligned with the mission and strategy of the entities, incorporating diagnostic tools, planning methodologies, measurement of results and social impact adapted to the context of the third sector.
  • Develop key personal and relational skills to drive innovation processes in organizations, addressing resistance to change, strengthening interpersonal communication skills and applying self-care strategies that promote the sustainability of transformation processes.

Access requirements

A university degree is not required to access this micro-credential. However, students wishing to access it must meet the following access requirements:

  • Students must be between 25 and 64 years old on the date the training begins.
  • Being a member of a social entity (board of directors, contracted staff or volunteers).
  • Have a National Identity Document or equivalent document that proves residence permit in Spain, at least during the period in which the microcredential is developed.

  • Innovative culture and transformative leadership.

Module 2. Diagnosis and detection of opportunities for third sector entities

  • Internal and external analysis of the entity.
  • Identifying needs and areas for improvement.
  • Strategic analysis tools applied to social entities.

Module 3. Design and planning of innovative projects for the third sector

  • Formulation of innovation projects.
  • Planning, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Measuring results and social impact.

Module 4. Financing in the social economy

  • General framework for financing in the social economy
  • Diversification of funding sources
  • Economic sustainability of innovation

Module 5. People as key in the innovation process

  • Resistance to change and coping with barriers
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-care strategies in the innovation process

Methodology and activities

The training activities to be carried out during the delivery of the micro-credential will be:

  • Theoretical classes: expository, explanatory or demonstration sessions of the contents and knowledge.
  • Seminars, workshops, or other complementary activities (discussion forums, simulations, etc.): monographic sessions that encourage student participation.

  • Independent work: independent and self-regulated activity of the student starting from the

Evaluation criteria

The microcredential will have an evaluation system (ES) based on the following evaluation tests:

  • Objective tests (true/false, multiple choice, test-type, fill-in-the-blank, ordering, etc.): These are measurement instruments that allow the evaluation of knowledge, skills, performance, aptitudes, etc. The answers are closed-ended, thus promoting objectivity during the scoring process.
  • Case studies, exercises and problems: tests in which students must solve, in a reasoned manner, within a certain time, and according to the established criteria, the cases, exercises or problems posed by the teaching staff, with the aim of applying the knowledge acquired.
