As stated in the curriculum for the Philosophy Graduate Program at the University of La Laguna (Official State Gazette No. 122, published on Wednesday, June 23, 2010), internships are a 12-credit subject in the final year of the degree.
The Professional Guidance and Internship Committee (COPYPE) of the Philosophy Section is made up of:
Internship calendar for the 2023-2024 academic year
Internship offer for the 2023-2024 academic year
Each academic year, the Professional Guidance and Internship Commission (COPYPE) will establish the deadline for submitting applications for internships. This deadline will be announced on the Philosophy Section website and in the course's virtual classroom. All information regarding applications and the method for assigning internship centers will be made available through the course's virtual classroom.
COPYPE will assign students to internship centers based on their preferences, in order of their average grade weighted by the number of credits completed. Requirements established by companies, if any, will be taken into account.
If the company or entity sets requirements, they will be objective and, in all cases, will guarantee the principles of transparency, merit, publicity, and equal opportunity.
The methodology for external internships will always be active and participatory. The offer of internship positions will depend on the needs and circumstances of the entities participating in the training program. This will be governed by the provisions of the University of La Laguna's External Internship Regulations.
The external internships for students of the Degree in Philosophy have a duration of 300 hours (12 ECTS; each ECTS is equivalent to 25 hours), which includes both the hours spent in the reference entities and those dedicated to academic tutoring and the preparation of reports.
150 hours of learning activities will be carried out at the internship center (50% ECTS credits), supervised by a professional tutor who will guide the learning process and coordinated by the tutoring faculty.
Students must independently prepare a final report on their internships and other activities outlined in the teaching guide.
Students must meet the attendance requirements established at the internship locations. They must also attend internship tutorials.
The evaluation of the subject will take into account:
The final report of the external internship to be prepared by the student and evaluated by the tutoring faculty must contain, as a minimum, the following sections:
The tutor from the institution will send the Center, in a sealed envelope, a report that will include the number of hours of practice completed by the student and which will assess the following competencies: Technical ability; Work administration; Learning capacity; Oral and written communication skills; Sense of responsibility; Adaptability; Creativity; Personal involvement; Motivation; Receptivity to criticism; Punctuality; Relationships with their work environment.
The deadline for submitting the final report will be as indicated by the tutor teacher.
Students who are absent from external internships or do not join the assigned collaborating entity on the established dates, without justified cause, will be graded as "Fail" with the numerical grade determined by the teaching staff in charge of the subject in the minutes corresponding to the first official grading call (Article 21 of the ULL External Internship Management Regulations).
