Students who wish to access the degree must have a good prior education in basic subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and drawing.
The candidate must have the ability to observe, analyse and synthesize, be skilled and quick at numerical calculations and solve quantifiable problems, as well as have logical and abstract reasoning. In addition, the candidate must be a lover of nature and agriculture and have a solid knowledge of biological notions. He or she must be scientifically curious and have observational skills to understand the problems of both.
Personal attitudes of initiative, ability to cooperate in a team, personal organization of work, perseverance, discipline, ability to work under pressure, leadership, responsibility and interest in the practical application of knowledge to solve real problems are highly appreciated.
Finally, manual skill in handling instruments or equipment is highly desirable as it will be widely used during the studies and after them.
