ECUSA in the United States

In 2015, the University of La Laguna signed an agreement with Spanish Scientists in the USA (ECUSA) to facilitate staff mobility.

strengthening its internationalization and academic and scientific contact with American institutions.

ECUSA, based in the District of Columbia, is a nonprofit organization comprised of Spanish research professionals. Its goal is to promote the development and interaction of the Spanish scientific community in the U.S., fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration.

In this framework the mentoring program arises Fostering Grads, within the Career Development & Advisory platform, promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation to promote theses with international recognition and train doctoral candidates with a global perspective.
Thanks to this program, several ULL doctoral students have obtained international recognition after research stays at prestigious centers in the U.S. In addition to mobility funding, they receive training and mentoring. The program offers webinars on professional and academic development in international settings and provides them with a mentor from the ECUSA network, linked to their area of expertise.
