Liderafrica

The University of La Laguna is part of the LiderAfrica Consortium, along with the University of Cádiz, the University of Huelva, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Casa África. These institutions, due to their strategic position as a link between Europe and Africa, have maintained ongoing collaboration with the neighboring continent through academic mobility, research, and international cooperation projects.

The Consortium was created with the aim of strengthening and expanding these ties, facilitating the mobility of students, teachers and administrative staff within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme (Key Action 171).
Through this initiative, a network of exchange and collaborative work with African universities has been consolidated, promoting a shared learning space.

The central objective of the project is to promote academic mobility as a way to train leaders capable of addressing global challenges, especially in the context of Southern Europe and Africa. This will allow the ULL and the other participating institutions to provide their communities with tools and knowledge that contribute to managing social, economic, and environmental challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoted by the UN to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and promote global well-being.
