The Governing Council of the ULL agrees to the call for 114 teaching positions and 81 management and administration positions

The Governing Council of the University of La Laguna has approved today, Friday, November 29, the call for the creation of 114 teaching and research staff positions and 81 positions for technical, management and administration and services staff of this academic institution. 

The positions announced for teaching and research staff will consist of 77 newly created positions, plus 37 internal promotions, totaling 114. These are distributed as follows: 37 Full Professor (CU) positions through internal promotion; one Full Professor position through open competition; 29 Associate Professor positions; 25 Permanent Contract Faculty positions to cover all Assistant Professors who have completed three years of their contract this year; 4 Permanent Contract Faculty positions for areas of knowledge based on the stabilization of researchers and teaching needs, as well as the corresponding accreditation and application date; 7 Permanent Contract Faculty positions linked to the Canary Islands Health Service; 12 Permanent Contract Faculty and Associate Professor positions corresponding to the 15% reserve for researchers with R3/I3 certification; and finally, the reserve of positions for people with disabilities, with a quota no less than 7%.

In addition, the Governing Council has approved the offer of 81 public employment positions for 2024 for technical, management and administration and services staff (PTGAS), specifically 26 positions for civil servants and 55 for employees. 

Of the 26 positions in the PTGAS civil service, 25 are open competition (2 for medical professionals, 4 for management and 19 for administrative staff, in which two positions will be reserved for the disability quota) and one position for internal promotion within group A1. 

Within the PTGAS labor program, the call is distributed into 17 open positions and 38 internal promotion positions, the latter divided into 4 for higher graduates, 2 for intermediate graduates, 3 for specialist technicians, 4 for laboratory technicians, 5 for maintenance technicians and 20 for officers.
