A dozen international students will continue their studies at the University of La Laguna through a mobility agreement with credit recognition, similar to the Erasmus+ program. The Vice-Rector for Outreach, Internationalization, and Cooperation, Lidia Cabrera, welcomed the students, emphasizing the importance of international education in a globalized world.

“The most important thing about this experience is not just getting good grades, but learning to live alongside university students from La Laguna, in this case. This experience will make them citizens of the world and will help them get used to respecting the customs and traditions of other countries, as well as enabling them to work in other places with a greater capacity for adaptation,” Cabrera commented.

Also participating in this event was María del Carmen Marrero, director of the Secretariat for Mobility and Extra-Community Relations for Africa, Latin America and Cooperation, who showed the students the main services and benefits offered by the university, such as Library or the Sports Service. María José Dorta, head of the European Programs Office, participated in the session.
