Throughout 2024, CRUE and CSIC have been working on renewing the national publishing and reading agreements reached with ACS, Elsevier, Springer Nature and Wiley.
Agreements have been reached with Wiley and Springer that are pending the signing of the respective contracts, while negotiations are still underway with ACS and Elsevier.
This situation does not affect reading, which will remain available while renewals or negotiations are completed, as appropriate, but it does affect publication:

Springer Nature and Wiley (in pre-agreement phase): publication will not be affected at Springer Nature, while at Wiley there will be a delay in funding for open access articles until the contract is signed.

ACS and Elsevier (under negotiation): the delay will last until negotiations are finalized.
The remaining publishing and reading agreements negotiated directly by ULL (Cambridge University Press, MDPI, Company of Biogists and PLOS -new-) have been operational since January 1, 2025.
