The contemporary dance performance 'Echoes of Winter', starring the dancer from Gran Canaria, arrives at the Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna this Thursday, January 30th at 8:30 pm. Daniel Morales. Tickets can be purchased at this link at the price of 8 euros.
Dancer, choreographer, producer, consultant and distributor, Morles has specialized in urban and contemporary dances since 2002. His purpose is to transmit thoughts and experiences with his own language, through a content-laden staging, allowing the body itself to weave his work.
He has lived in Tenerife since 2013 and was part of the Tenerife Danza Lab platform for four years, which is affiliated with the Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín. The dancer has worked with artists such as Daniel Abreu, Laura Marrero, Helena Berthelius, and Sara Wiktorovich, among others. Since 2017, he has danced with several companies, including Cocoon Dance Contemporary (Germany), Cía. Nómada (Tenerife), and Colectivo Lamajara (Barcelona).
The writer and screenwriter also reminisces about a time when we delighted in our dreams: “There aren’t any dreamers like there used to be. In a world that moves at lightning speed and where immediacy seems to reign, there are things that fill us with hope that have been relegated to the background,” he says. He recalls the echoes of winter. “How wonderful! It’s cold again today!”.
