The Paraninfo will host a play this Saturday about peaceful resistance during World War II

Friday March 13, 2026 - 13:29 CET

The Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna will host the theatrical performance 'The Manifesto of the Students of Munich' tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, at 8:30 p.m., presented by the La Sastrería theater company. Tickets are available on the platform. Eco Tickets, 8 euros for students and 10 for the general public.

The work tells how a group of students from the University of Munich created "The White Rose" during World War II, a pacifist resistance group that tried to raise awareness of the atrocities being committed by Nazi Germany through a series of pamphlets that they distributed clandestinely among civil society.

The impact of these pamphlets is growing and they begin to annoy Hitler, who orders that those responsible be pursued and punished with the full force of the Reich.

The play's script is written by Sergio Hidalgo, a new author from the island of La Palma, and Carlos De León is in charge of directing and dramaturgy. One of the founding principles of this theater company was to produce premieres of contemporary Canarian works, and for this reason, Sergio Hidalgo's script was selected by the company.
