Tres autoras religiosas de los SS. XVII y XVIII: las obras de Gertudre Aston, Winefrid Thimelby y Josefa de Jovellanos como reflejo de experiencias afines
Abstract
This article approaches the life and works of three religious women (Gertrude Thimelby, —née Gertrude Aston—, Winefrid Thimelby and Josefa de Jovellanos) who belong to different epochs and cultures (the former ones from England, the latter from Spain; the English authors from the 17th century, and the Spanish one from the 18th century) in order to prove, from an inevitably comparative perspective, that there is a clear parallelism between their lives and works, paying special attention to the education they received and to their literary legacy, exemplified in their poems and letters.
