The Mechanical Technology Classroom has a Trades Officer who provides services there.
Library and documentary collections
The Library is located in the school's old building and has a total area of approximately 256 m², of which 100 m² comprise the library itself, 37 m² the periodicals section, and 18 m² an office for the Head of Service. It also has a storage area for rare books. The reading room has tables and chairs in good condition, accommodating up to 100 students.
Access to books and manuals is free, and they are located on open shelves. On the ground floor of the Library, there is a study room with a capacity for 40 students, open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
As for the staff, the Library has three members of the PAS, a section head and two officers who divide the morning and afternoon hours, which are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Information on opening hours, the calendar, the services provided by the Library as well as access to the collections is available through the University of La Laguna library service website.
All works are freely available, upon request at the desk, for consultation in the reading room. For consultation of all the University of La Laguna's holdings, the Library has an OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) point. The catalog can also be accessed via the Internet (web).
Regarding the maintenance, updating, and renewal of library collections, at the end of each academic year the Library contacts the Departments related to the degree programs offered at the School and requests information on the books and manuals they deem necessary to add to the Library. Library users can request the acquisition of a specific book by completing a request form and submitting it at the Library desk.
