School board and committees
In accordance with Article 15.1 of the Internal Regulations of the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering (RRI), the School Board shall be composed of a number of members that should not exceed two hundred, and which must respect the following composition:
- The Director, who will preside over it, those who hold the Subdirectorates of Section and the Secretary of the School, who will assume the Secretary of the Board and the person responsible for the Administration of the School.

A representation of the different sectors that make up the School, whose composition will be adjusted to the following percentages:

Fifty-one percent consisting of:
- Teaching and research staff with permanent ties to the University of La Laguna who are included in the teaching program of the School and who carry out at least 25% of their teaching activity in the same.
- The people who hold the Directorship of those Departments that teach at least 25% of their teaching load at the School.
- The remaining teaching and research staff with permanent contracts necessary to complete the 51% will be selected from among those who provide services at the School.
- *The positions allocated to each subsector covered in this section will be as follows: 70% of the total to that described in b.1.1); 20% to that contained in b.1.2) and the remaining 10% to that referred to in b.1.3).
- Nine percent made up of the rest of the teaching and research staff with non-permanent ties, through selection from among those listed in the School's teaching program, and who carry out at least 25% of their teaching activity in the same.
- Thirty percent chosen by the students enrolled at the School.
- Ten percent elected by the administrative and service staff who provide their services at the School and in the departments that teach at least 25% of their teaching load at the School.

Fifty-one percent consisting of:
- In any case, all areas of knowledge that teach at the School must be represented. The heads of departments that teach at the School but are not members of the Board will have the right to be heard at School Board meetings where matters are submitted.
