Functions of the Faculty Board

The Faculty Board is the highest representative body of the members of the Center, with its own powers in matters of organization, coordination, and management. It is made up of representatives from the faculty, students, and administrative and service staff.

Its composition is renewed in the first months of each academic year. Its functions include:

  • To define, approve and coordinate the Faculty's policy of action, both in terms of teaching and research, as well as in terms of its administrative and economic regime
  • Prepare and approve the Draft Internal Regulations of the Faculty and its amendments.
  • To approve the teaching organization plans of the Faculty and to propose and report the modification of its study plans.
  • Approve the distribution of funds allocated to the Faculty charged to the University Budgets.
  • To supervise the performance of the collegiate and individual governing bodies of the Faculty and its services, in accordance with the provisions of the Statutes of the University of La Laguna.
  • Those provided for collegiate bodies in article 98 of the University Statutes.
  • To perform any other functions assigned to him by the higher governing bodies of the university or recognized by the current regulations.
