FEEDERS AND WATERERS-SHOWERS FOR URBAN BIRDS

In the Central Campus Park there are three platforms with bird feeder and waterer Installed two meters high, these feeders aim to continue attracting birds and facilitating feeding for granivorous birds when the availability of water and food is reduced during the summer months.

Its design includes a post high enough to prevent cats and rats from jumping from the ground to the platform, as they could prey on the birds or their food, in the case of rats. The post is also smooth to prevent them from climbing it.

The platform has a roof to shade the water storage container and prevent it from heating up in the sun. The inlet to the container has an automatic cistern valve. Attached to the drinker is a clay dish that is periodically refilled with birdseed and other grains that are appealing to granivorous birds. The platform also has a raised edge to prevent the dish from falling over if it is moved by the birds.
