The university also has an Information and Orientation Service (IOS), which is the office dedicated to providing information, advice, and guidance to prospective students on matters related to their education and university life, as well as directing them to the appropriate offices with any more specific requests. Welcome and orientation of new arrivals
The Doctoral School will offer a welcome day for new students, as well as information sessions on specific topics of interest. All students are also enrolled in a virtual classroom for notifications and a communication channel.
Students will also attend a program presentation session led by the coordinator of the University of La Laguna's academic committee and will be included in a virtual classroom for the program.
In the Doctoral School Website There are several links with information on all the necessary procedures for completing a doctoral thesis, as well as the related forms. Of particular importance for new students may be the page containing all the regulations for doctoral studies.
Internal Quality Assurance Service of the University of La Laguna
As a guarantee of the quality of teaching, its improvement, and the protection of the rights of students and faculty, the degree program is governed by specific regulations regarding dissemination mechanisms within the University of La Laguna's Internal Quality Assurance System.

Admission profile
The entry profile required to access this doctoral program is as follows:Proof of training related to the educational field in any of its specialties and preferably having completed studies in Primary Education Teaching, Early Childhood Education Teaching, Pedagogy, Psychopedagogy, Social Education, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and, subsidiarily, all those qualifications that grant access to the different areas or specialties of the Master's Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary and Baccalaureate Education, Vocational Training, and Language Teaching.
Students with specific educational support needs
In compliance with Royal Decree 99/2011, of January 28, regulating official doctoral programs, a specific program is in place to assist students with specific educational support needs to promote their educational and social integration. As established in Article 6 of the ULL Doctoral Regulations, the academic committee may establish criteria for the selection and admission of students. For this program, the following criteria will be applied to evaluate applications:
1. Academic record with average grade of the Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification that certifies it (20 points).
2. Academic record, with average grade, from a university Master's degree related to the research lines of this doctoral program: Research and Innovation in Education, and Teaching and Learning in Specific Areas of Knowledge (20 points).
3. Professional experience related to education and accredited with a service record/work history (10 points).
4. Research experience related to the doctoral program (conference participation, publications, research project participation, other doctoral studies). Provision of relevant official certifications (20 points).
5. Obtaining grants, research scholarships, and awards. Providing relevant official certifications (10 points).
6. Personal motivation letter (20 points)

Body in charge of the admission processThe body responsible for the admissions process is the Academic Committee of the Interuniversity Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences between the universities of La Laguna and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
There are no training supplements.
The director or tutor will guide the most suitable training activities based on the profiles of the doctoral students.
