The Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism offers new students of the degrees in Business Administration and Management, Accounting and Finance, Economics and Tourism a Guidance and Tutorial Action Plan (POAT)The objectives of this Plan are to facilitate the integration of new students, provide them with information that can help resolve difficulties encountered in their academic life, and guide them through their comprehensive education.
In general, the Orientation and Tutorial Action Plan includes two types of basic activities: a) a series of talks, workshops and other types of group activities with an informative and guidance purpose on various topics that are of interest to students (scholarships, mobility programs, company internships, etc.) and b) a Career Tutoring plan where students will be regularly attended by a tutor who will provide them with advice and guidance on their curricular trajectory at the university.
Starting in 2018, the Faculty of Business Economics and Tourism added a third pillar: a student monitoring system, which aims to complement the previous two. It involves organizing, managing, and promoting communication channels among students so that, based on their own experiences, experiences, and acquired knowledge, they can raise questions and/or provide answers to students.
The center's POAT has a dedicated virtual classroom for managing activities, tutoring, and monitoring. It also includes a forum where students can interact with each other.
To answer any questions about the POAT, in addition to contacting the assigned tutor, students can contact Zamira del Rosario Acosta Rubio (POAT Coordinator of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism) at the following email address: zacosta@ull.edu.es
In addition to the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism's Guidance and Tutorial Action Plan, the University of La Laguna has an Information and Guidance Service (SIO) that any student who needs it can also contact.
