Official Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees are subject to an evaluation model divided into three phases that make up their life cycle (VSMA cycle): ex ante (Verification), during (Monitoring and Modification), and ex post (Accreditation renewal). This process of evaluation, review, and improvement is carried out to guarantee the quality of the degrees and ensure compliance with the requirements and criteria established within the framework of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

The model is included in the Organic Law 2/2023, of the University System (LOSU) and in the Royal Decrees of organization of university teachings: fundamentally the RD 822/2021, which establishes the organization of university education and the procedure for ensuring its quality; RD 99/2011, which regulates official doctoral studies and the RD 640/2021, of creation, recognition and authorization of universities and university centers, and institutional accreditation of university centers.

Este seguimiento se centra, por un lado, en comprobar el cumplimiento del proyecto establecido en la Memoria de Verificación vigente en un primer seguimiento realizado tras la verificación (OTV). Por otro, en constatar el desarrollo del plan de mejoras elaborado después de un proceso de evaluación externa, denominado seguimiento tras la acreditación (OTR).

During the process a suggestion box to gather the opinions of the university community involved in the degree regarding the content of the Self-Assessment Report, as well as the development and improvement of the degree.

The result is the renewal of the accreditation on FAVORABLE terms.
