Recommended Income Profile

Regarding the recommended entry profile, although no specific prior training is required, for admission to the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, it is recommended that the student's training be in a scientific and technological field (Royal Decree 1467/2007, Official State Gazette of November 6, which establishes the structure of the baccalaureate and sets its minimum teaching requirements). Within this profile, it is also recommended that the student possess the following qualities, among others:

Graduation Profile

In general terms, the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is intended to train general nurses with sufficient scientific and human preparation and training to assess, identify, respond to, and evaluate the health and care needs of healthy or ill individuals, families, and the community. The phenomena of particular concern to nurses are responses to actual or potential health problems of individuals, families, or groups. These human responses range broadly from health needs to recovery from illness.

Thus, the nurse's role in caring for healthy or ill people is to assess their responses to their health status and assist them in carrying out activities that contribute to their health, their recovery, or a dignified death, helping them, if feasible, to regain their independence as quickly as possible. Within the health system, the nurse shares with other health professionals the functions of planning, organization, direction, and evaluation to ensure a health system that is suitable for developing people's potential in different situations of their daily lives, promoting health, preventing disease, and caring for sick or disabled people.

Therefore, the studies of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing are aimed at ensuring that future graduates:
