As specified in the structure of the Curricula for the Bachelor's Degrees in Geography and Territorial Planning, History, and Art History, currently taught at the Faculty of Geography and History, the Final Degree Projects are subjects taught in the second semester of the fourth year of the degree.
This subject will be introduced for the first time in all three undergraduate programs during the 2012/2013 academic year. The regulations for final project projects for all three undergraduate programs, as well as the application and evaluation forms, have previously been approved by the Center's Quality Committee (May 9, 2012) and ratified by the Faculty Board (May 10, 2012). These regulations, subject to the ULL's general guidelines for final project projects, have not yet been definitively approved.
The examination system for TFG projects, as they are subjects included in the Curriculum, is regulated by the ULL's general examination regulations, taking into account the specificities of the subject matter, as set out in the aforementioned regulations.
El Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) consiste en la realización por parte del estudiante, de forma individual, y bajo la dirección de uno o más tutores, de un estudio de elaboración propia y original vinculado a algunas de las materias impartidas en los tres Grados de la Facultad de Geografía e Historia. El estudiante deberá demostrar haber adquirido los contenidos formativos, capacidades, competencias y habilidades para los que le capacitaba el Grado cursado. El alumnado deberá desarrollar y presentar para su defensa un trabajo en que se constate su capacidad de interpretación crítica de datos, de acuerdo con los usos académicos, y una reflexión metodológica sobre el objeto de estudio amparado en la consulta bibliográfica pertinente.
To ensure that the TFGs are appropriate for the characteristics of the Degree, students are provided with guidance and direction through one or two tutors assigned from among the list of tutors and proposed topics.
The work will be carried out autonomously by the student, in groups of a maximum of 3, and will consist of a supervised research work, with an assignment of 150 hours student's work. The TFG will be compiled in a printed report, which will be defended orally before an evaluation committee and graded like any other subject in the degree.
To improve the development of the subject and facilitate the preparation of the Final Project Report and its public defense, specific criteria have been established, which can be found in the Subject Teaching Guide and the Final Project Regulations.
The presentation of the TFG reports will be done by telematic procedure, through the headquartersA copy of the report will also be submitted to the virtual classroom for the Final Degree Project (TFG) course. Both submissions will be made one week before the submission date.
The deadline for submitting the report will be announced along with the publication of the schedule and composition of the panels responsible for evaluating the Final Projects. Projects submitted after the deadline will not be processed and will not be eligible for a panel defense.
The management and coordination of the Final Degree Project is carried out through the virtual classroom.
