The student body that meets the access requirements established by the Law may be admitted to the pre-registration process for the Degree in Chemistry. It would be advisable for them to have a background in Science or Health Sciences, with basic knowledge of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and a certain command of the English language. They must also have personal aptitudes such as interest in research and experimentation, capacity for analysis and abstract understanding, numerical skills, deductive ability, method and rigor in their work, and a vocation for Chemistry.
Chemistry graduates acquire the skills necessary to develop the profession of chemist in different areas of work:
Basic and applied research, providing an introduction to this field as future R&D&I researchers in industry, universities, and other public research organizations, once they have completed the corresponding master's degree (MECES level 3).
Teaching in Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, and University, once the Master's Degree in Teacher Training has been completed, which qualifies the student to practice professional activities.
