Latin American countries that are members of the Ibero-American Community of Nations and Portugal.
The Carolina Foundation was established in 2000 as an institution to promote cultural relations and educational and scientific cooperation between Spain and the countries of the Ibero-American Community of Nations.
Since 2013, the Carolina Foundation has signed a framework agreement with the University of La Laguna to award scholarships for professional specialization in Spain through the Carolina Foundation's Training Program (postgraduate scholarships).
Through its Training Program, the Carolina Foundation generates human capital and fosters excellence, contributing decisively to the consolidation of a knowledge space in Latin America and to the growth of the continent.

In recent years, the Carolina Foundation has made significant efforts to increase the quality of the training offered by its programs and to consolidate its leadership among cultural institutions that promote the improvement of higher education in the Americas. In this regard, one of its most significant assets lies in promoting the internationalization of Spanish universities and training centers.
The rigorous candidate selection process goes through numerous filters, inspired mainly by the criterion of academic excellence.
