Admission is the set of requirements necessary to pursue university studies. Completion of these requirements is required prior to admission to the courses to be pursued.
Article 16 entitled "Access to official Master's degree courses" of Chapter IV "Official university Master's degree courses" of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of October 29, modified in its section 1 by article 9 of Royal Decree 861/2010, of July 2, states the following:
1. To access official Master's degrees, it will be necessary to hold an official Spanish university degree or another degree issued by a higher education institution belonging to another member state of the European Higher Education Area that qualifies for access to Master's degrees.
2. Likewise, graduates from educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area may access the programme without the need for their qualifications to be recognised, subject to verification by the University that they certify a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university qualifications and that they entitle them to access postgraduate studies in the country that issued the qualification. Access via this route will not, under any circumstances, imply the recognition of the previous qualification held by the interested party, nor its recognition for any purpose other than to undertake master's studies.
As specific criteria, admission to the Master's program requires prior acquisition of the competencies outlined in section 3 of the Ministerial Order establishing the requirements for the verification of official university degrees that qualify graduates to practice as Industrial Technical Engineers, and their training must comply with the requirements established in section 5 of the aforementioned Ministerial Order. Furthermore, admission to the Master's program will be granted when the applicant's undergraduate degree demonstrates completion of the basic training module and the common module for the branch, even if it does not cover a complete block of the specific technology module, provided it covers 48 credits offered across all blocks of said module within an undergraduate degree that qualifies graduates to practice as Industrial Technical Engineers, in accordance with the aforementioned Ministerial Order.
Furthermore, the University of La Laguna, in compliance with the provisions of Decree 168/2008, of July 22 (Official Gazette of the Canary Islands No. 154, of August 1), establishes that accreditation of a B1 level of English will be an essential requirement to access this master's degree. Consult the Documents recognized as proof of language skills. You can also consult the following list of Official Undergraduate Degrees from the ULL which, for the purposes of enrollment in a university master's degree at the University of La Laguna, require the acquisition of a B1 level of English that enables admission to Master's degrees (to view the document, Click here).
Admission is the allocation of places offered by the ULL to study official university courses among those who, fulfilling the access requirements indicated above (Graduate/Bachelor's degree and/or approved foreign qualification and B1 in English), have requested them.
Admission is carried out through the procedure established for this purpose in the ULL Regulations. The student must attach all official documents that prove the profile required for access, his/her academic record and his/her curriculum vitae, through which he/she will be evaluated for admission to the master's degree according to criteria of equality, merit and capacity.
The body responsible for admission that will evaluate the applications will be the Academic Committee of the degree, whose composition is determined in article 30 of the Regulations for Official Master's Degree Courses at the University of La LagunaArticle 31 of the aforementioned regulation states that the proposal for admission of students is one of the functions of the Academic Commission.
When applying for admission, students must select, in order of preference, up to two specialties they wish to be admitted to. Places within each specialty will be filled according to the following procedure:
1. For each specialty, the first 15 places will be filled by students who have requested that specialty as their first choice, according to the following numerical scale (in the event that a student has more than one qualification, the most favorable one will always be scored):
a) Specialty in Electromechanical Technology:
b) Specialty in Chemical Engineering:
c) Specialization in Automation and Robotics and Specialization in Industrial Electronics:
The remaining students will be assigned to the specialty they have indicated as their second preference.
2. If, after this initial allocation, there are still vacant places in any specialty, these will be assigned to the most in-demand degree program with first preference, and will be filled, following the order of the scale, by those students who applied with first preference and were left out in the initial distribution.
Any candidate who holds a foreign qualification comparable to a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering must request and obtain its homologation. All relevant information on this process and payment of the corresponding fees can be consulted at:

The initiation of the homologation process is not acceptable as a prerequisite. The candidate may only register once the homologation for the Degree in Industrial Engineering has been obtained.
Enrolment is the formal instrument through which one acquires the status of university student. Before enrolling, students who wish to take the Master's degree must meet the entry requirements and have obtained a place through the admission process.
