The Master's Degree in General Health Psychology is an enabling master's degree that qualifies for psychological assessment and intervention, as well as for the promotion and improvement of the general state of health of people, according to ORDER ECD/1070/2013, June 14, 2013.

Purpose of the Master's Degree

  • The Master's Degree in General Health Psychology aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out psychological research, assessments and interventions on those aspects of people's behavior and activity that influence the promotion and improvement of their general state of health.

Who is it for?

  • The Master's Degree in General Health Psychology is aimed at graduates in Psychology, combined, where appropriate, with complementary training that guarantees that the interested party has obtained at least 90 ECTS credits of a specifically health-related nature, in addition to having the required B1 level of English.

What career opportunities are available?

  • The student who has completed the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology must have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out psychological research, assessments and interventions on those aspects of people's behaviour and activity that influence the promotion and improvement of their general state of health, provided that these activities do not require specialised attention from other health professionals. The graduate of this master's degree will therefore be a graduate with specialised and advanced training with professional capacity and research qualifications.
