Renewable energy and energy efficiency for the sustainable development of West Africa and the Macaronesian Islands (ENERMAC)

The aim is to develop actions that maximize the use of renewable and indigenous energy sources, contributing to reducing energy dependence and fostering the sustainable development of the Macaronesian and West African islands. These actions will be based on the following lines of action: Energy Planning, Rational Energy Use, and Network and Microgrid Analysis. The creation of a network of excellence in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency will be promoted, where knowledge generated among the participating regions will be shared. This will foster training and exchange among research personnel, with the goal of multiplying the impact of the acquired know-how. Collaboration between institutions in these regions will allow progress to be made in solving their energy problems.
