Valuation and Regulation of R&D&I

The work of the ULL research staff has yielded results and capabilities that exceed their academic value and may also have economic and social implications. Area of Valorization and Regulation of R&D&I of the OTC ULL Its purpose is to maximize the social, economic and territorial impact of the knowledge generated, while ensuring its proper protection, management and adaptation to the current regulatory framework.

Through a process known as transfer, Knowledge is transmitted to third parties (public or private) to innovate in products, in the development of a process or the provision of a service.

This unit can be used by our research community, as well as public bodies, companies and other agents of the innovation system who have a technological or service demand and wish to collaborate with our entity.

The main services provided are:

Comprehensive management of knowledge transfer agreements

Negotiation, processing and comprehensive management of framework agreements, agreements and contracts for research and knowledge transfer signed between the University of La Laguna and public, private or third sector entities, at the regional, national and international levels.

This service includes the legal and technical analysis of proposals, compliance with current regulations, and coordination with the various units involved to ensure the correct formalization of collaborations.

Monitoring, modifications and extensions of agreements

Administrative and technical monitoring of agreements, conventions and contracts already signed, including the management of modifications, addenda, extensions and updates necessary during their validity.

The area ensures compliance with the commitments made, the established deadlines and the agreed economic and technical conditions, acting as a point of reference for the signatory parties.

Valuation of knowledge

Promotion and support of the processes of valorizing the knowledge generated at the University of La Laguna, with the aim of maximizing its scientific, social, economic and territorial impact.

It includes the identification of capabilities and results with transfer potential, support in their enhancement and the promotion of their application in the productive fabric, public administrations and society in general.Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the University System (LOSU)

Advice on the regulation of collaborations

Specialized assistance and support to research staff and participating institutions in the regulation of research and transfer collaborations, from the initial phases to the formalization of agreements.

This service covers the preparation of proposals, the definition of budgets, the selection of the most appropriate type of agreement, as well as guidance on legal, economic and management aspects associated with each collaboration.

Design of the ULL R&D&I Offer

Preparation, updating and publication of the Catalogue of Scientific-Technological Capabilities of the University of La Laguna, as a strategic tool for making visible the knowledge, infrastructures and research experience of the institution.

The catalogue facilitates the connection between the university and the various agents of the innovation system, fostering new opportunities for collaboration and transfer.Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts

Institutional relations in research and transfer

Promotion, management and development of institutional relations in the field of research and knowledge transfer with public administrations, companies, social entities and other agents of the R&D&I ecosystem.

This service includes identifying collaboration opportunities, fostering institutional contacts, and supporting initiatives that strengthen the role of the University of La Laguna as a key agent in the generation and transfer of knowledge.RG1/2025 Management Resolution providing instructions for the management of agreements, applications for grants/projects and monetary contributions
